The ILB Newsletter is intended to bridge the gap between the former Indiana Law Blog and its anticipated replacement(s) (more about which will be coming later). It is free and will be emailed to subscribers every Monday morning.Would sex involving a 17-year-old who is dating a 21-year-old, for example, be illegal? With the modernization of sex crime laws, "it's not criminal for teenagers who are very close in age to have sex together," said Indiana State University associate professor Lisa Decker, who teaches in the criminology and criminal justice department. With a petition in the works, Fields also hopes to rally legislative support. On Wednesday, state lawmakers are scheduled to discuss Senate Resolution 3, which if passed would bring up Fields' proposal for more serious consideration in a summer study committee.it is ok to date a younger person but if the parents don't like the fact that your dating her then thats it they can put a restraining order if you break it you'll go to jail(the hugging kissing and other things is illegal in most states) because it requires the family law but its the parents choice of who she goes out with or doesn't go out with the right sexual content is 17 but since your an adult the price is risky as of right now some of the fantasy staying for that girl for 3 years it might do something with your relationship. As long as her parents (BOTH) are okay with you spending time with her, that's okay. You cannot send racy messages via the internet, IM, text, phone, note cards, airplane signs, blimp...(you get the picture).it will consider the fact of choosing another person who is older then 18 or else you can wait until she is 18 but in many states all dating in family court are the same and another laws some remain the same others are different because we are united states of america we are um, yeah. In short, if you want to continue this relationship and her parents allow it, plan on keeping your hands, lips and various other body parts to yourself until she is of legal age.
like get more fr statuetory rape or kidnapping i mean am i cover like will anything happen to me if she does? You cannot be charged with "statutory rape" because as I mentioned, 16 is the age of consent. But again, as I mentioned, if the parents tell you not to call or show up at the house, then they have the right to do so and if you contact her after being told not to call or come, then yes, again you can be charged with trespass or harassment. No, it is not illegal per se for a 20 year old to date a 16 year old in Indiana. In fact, since 16 is the "age of consent" in Indiana, the two may legally have sexual relations.my dad would consent if she was 18 and i was 22 but not to this, which doesnt matter cause im over age.but i heard that even if some random person doesnt consent then it can be taken to court which i doubt anyone would but just in case.
